Edgar Martinez, one of the game’s best right-handed hitters and the author of some of the most important hits in Mariners history, took his rightful place in the National Baseball Hall of Fame on July 21 in Cooperstown, NY.

You have the chance to be a part of celebrating Edgar’s Hall of Fame career at T-Mobile Park this weekend as the Mariners host the Tampa Bay Rays for three games beginning Friday. Tickets for all three games of Edgar Martinez Hall of Fame Weekend are available at Mariners.com.

Here’s a primer on this weekend’s festivities at T-Mobile Park.

Friday

Edgar Martinez Weekend at T-Mobile Park begins this Friday when the Mariners host the Tampa Bay Rays at 7:10 pm. The first 40,000 fans will take home a bobblehead featuring Edgar holding his Hall of Fame plaque.

During the games on Friday and Saturday, Edgar’s actual plaque will be on display on the 100 level near the Mariners Team Store at T-Mobile Park—this starts when gates open at 5:10 p.m. and runs through the top of the 8th inning.

On Friday morning, Edgar will raise a №11 flag that will fly atop the Space Needle on Friday and Saturday.

The festivities continue Saturday for the Edgar Martinez Hall of Fame Celebration, featuring a pre-game ceremony honoring Edgar and other Seattle hall of famers. Be sure to arrive early. The first 40,000 fans will receive a replica of Edgar’s Hall of Fame Plaque, and the pre-game celebration is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.

Edgar will be joined by 2016 National Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., Mariners Hall of Famers Alvin Davis and Dan Wilson, Seahawks legends and NFL Hall of Famers Steve Largent, Kenny Easley and Walter Jones, former Sonic great and NBA Hall of Famer Jack Sikma, SoundersFC legend and National Soccer Hall of Famer Kasey Keller and Duff McKagan, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with fellow Guns N’ Roses bandmates.

Edgar’s actual Hall of Fame plaque will be on display at T-Mobile Park during Saturday’s game, on the Main Level near the Mariners Team Store. This starts at 7:30 p.m., following the return of the plaque from our on-field ceremony, and runs through the top of the 8th inning.

Sunday

Hall of Fame Roundtable | 12:20 pm

On Sunday, Edgar will take part in a pre-game Hall of Fame Roundtable, along with his former teammates and Mariners staff who worked alongside Edgar. The program will begin at approximately 12:20 pm and will also feature Ken Griffey Jr., Alvin Davis, Dan Wilson, Mariners Broadcaster Rick Rizzs and Mariners Athletic Trainer Emeritus Rick Griffin. Mariners public address announcer Tom Hutyler will host the panel.

Following the roundtable, Edgar and representatives of T-Mobile will take part in a special presentation to the Edgar Martinez Endowment for Muscular Dystrophy at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Edgar will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Souvenirs

Edgar Martinez Hall of Fame jerseys, patches, T-Shirts and memorabilia will be available at the Mariners Team Store. The August issue of Mariners Magazine features Edgar holding his Hall of Fame plaque on the cover. Scan the magazine with the Ballpark app’s AR feature to watch video of Edgar’s Hall of Fame speech.

Throughout the weekend, there will be a special Edgar-themed pop-up shop near Edgar’s Hall of Fame plaque on the 100 level outside the Mariners Team Store.

During all three games, Mariners players will wear commemorative patches on their jersey sleeves and game balls and bases will feature a special Hall of Fame Weekend logo. Souvenir baseballs will be available at Mariners Team Stores and game-used bases and other authentic memorabilia will be offered for auction at MLB.com/Auctions.
