TORONTO — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:

· Brett de Geus (#59), RHP, selected from Triple-A Tacoma.

· Tyson Miller (#49), RHP, selected from Triple-A Tacoma.

· Ty France, INF, reinstated from the Paternity List.

· Cody Bolton, RHP, placed on 15-day Injured List (general medical issue, retroactive to April 6).

· Collin Snider, RHP, placed on 15-day Injured List (left knee contusion).

· Samad Taylor, INF/OF, optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.

· Ty Adcock, RHP, designated for assignment.

The Mariners Major League, 40-man roster is now full at 40 players.

de Geus (duh-GUS), 26, will make his Mariners debut when he first appears in a game. The right-hander has appeared in 3 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, notching one save.

de Geus signed a minor league contract with Seattle on Feb. 24 as a non-roster invitee, and was transferred to Major League camp on March 6. In 47 Major League games between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks in 2021, de Geus went 3–2 with a 7.56 ERA (42 ER, 50.0 IP) with 25 walks and 41 strikeouts. The right-hander was originally selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 33rd round of the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Cabrillo College in Aptos, California.

Miller, 28, will make his Mariners debut when he first appears in a game. In 4 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, the right-hander has a 2.25 ERA (1 ER, 4.0 IP) with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. He was signed by Seattle to a minor league contract on Nov. 2, 2023, with an invitation to Major League Spring Training.

Miller has appeared in 3 Major League seasons with Chicago-NL (2020), Texas (2022), Milwaukee (2023), Los Angeles-NL (2023) and New York-NL (2023). In 16 games (3 starts), he is 2–2 with a 6.97 ERA (24 ER, 31.0 IP) with 17 walks and 18 strikeouts. He recorded his first career win with the Rangers at T-Mobile Park on Sept. 27, 2022.

The 6-foot-5 righty was originally selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 4th round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of California Baptist University, making his Major League debut for the Cubs on Aug. 17, 2020.

France, 29, was placed on the Paternity List on April 5. He is batting .320 (8x25) in 7 games this season, hitting safely in each of his last 6 contests (3/29-c).

In 5 seasons with the Mariners (2020-c), France is batting .274 (498x1820) with 242 runs, 97 doubles, 3 triples, 52 home runs, 228 RBI, 132 walks and 84 hit-by-pitches. The first baseman made the 2022 American League All-Star Team, tallying career-highs in home runs (20) and RBI (83) that season.

France was acquired by Seattle, along with RHP Andrés Muñoz, C Luis Torrens and OF Taylor Trammell, from San Diego in exchange for RHP Austin Adams, RHP Dan Altavilla and C Austin Nola on Aug. 31, 2020. The California native was originally selected by the Padres in the 34th round of the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of San Diego State University, where he played with current teammate Seby Zavala under Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn.

Bolton, 25, has appeared in 4 games out of the Mariners bullpen this season, posting a 3.00 ERA (2 ER, 6.0 IP) with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. The right-hander was acquired by Seattle from Pittsburgh in exchange for cash considerations on Nov. 2, 2023.

Bolton was originally selected by the Pirates in the 6th round of the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Tracy High School (CA). In 2 Major League seasons with Pittsburgh (2023) and Seattle (2024-c), the 6-foot-2 righty is 1–0 with a 5.60 ERA (17 ER, 27.1 IP) with 17 walks and 25 strikeouts across 20 relief appearances.

Snider, 28, has appeared in 3 games out of the Mariners bullpen this season, posting a 6.00 ERA (2 ER, 3.0 IP) with a walk and 2 strikeouts. He left yesterday’s game at Milwaukee with a left knee contusion after Sal Frelick’s line drive single hit Snider.

The right-hander was claimed off waivers by Seattle on Feb. 6 from the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 65 Major League games (one start) with Kansas City (2022–23) and Seattle (2024-c), Snider is 4–2 with one save and a 5.93 ERA (38 ER, 57.2 IP) with 29 walks and 35 strikeouts. The Nashville native was originally selected by the Royals in the 12th round of the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Vanderbilt University.

Taylor, 25, was recalled on April 5. He appeared in all 3 games in the Brewers series, hitting .400 (2x5) with a pair of runs scored. The infielder/outfielder has also appeared in 4 contests with Triple-A Tacoma this season.

Taylor was acquired by Seattle from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for a player to be named later (RHP Natanael Garabitos) on Jan. 30, 2024. In 2023, Taylor went 8-for-8 in stolen base attempts with the Royals, clocking a 29.1 ft/sec sprint speed, ranking in the 91st percentile in MLB. In his Major League debut on June 17, 2023, he became the 12th player in MLB history with a walk-off hit as his first career hit, in his first career game.

Taylor was originally selected by the Cleveland Guardians in the 10th round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Corona High School (CA).

Adcock, 27, has appeared in 3 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, going 1–0 with a 7.71 ERA (2 ER, 2.1 IP), 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. He also appeared in 2 games during Spring Training where he had a 13.50 ERA (3 ER, 2.0 IP) with 1 strikeout.

Adcock made his Major League debut on June 12, 2023 against Miami. He made 12 appearances with the Mariners going 0–0 with a 3.45 ERA (6 ER, 15.2 IP), 0 walks and 11 strikeouts before being optioned to Double-A Arkansas on July 19, 2023. He was placed on the 7-day Injured List by Arkansas on Aug. 8, 2023 and missed the remainder of the season.

The 6-foot, 213-pound right-handed pitcher was originally drafted by the Mariners in the 8th round of the 2019 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Elon University, where he was college teammates with George Kirby. Adcock has appeared in parts of 3 minor league seasons, going 2–1 with 3 saves, a 4.06 ERA (13 ER, 31.0 IP), 12 walks and 35 strikeouts in 30 appearances (2 starts).
