SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:

· Yohan Ramirez, RHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.

· Vinny Nittoli, RHP, selected from Triple-A Tacoma.

· José Godoy, C, optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.

· Justin Dunn, RHP, placed on 10-day Injured List (right shoulder inflammation).

· Kyle Lewis, OF, transferred to 60-day Injured List (right meniscus tear).

The Mariners Major League, 40-man, roster remains full at 40 players.

Ramirez (#55) and Nittoli (#46) will be in uniform and available for today’s 7:10 pm game vs. Tampa Bay.

Ramírez, 26, was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on June 14. In 2 games with the Mariners this season, the righty is 0–0 with a 6.75 ERA (3 ER, 4.0 IP) with 2 hits allowed, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. He’s appeared in 11 games with the Rainiers this season, going 0–0 with a 4.05 ERA (6 ER, 13.1 IP) with 10 hits allowed, 6 walks and 18 strikeouts. The right-hander made his Major League debut with Seattle on July 24, 2020 and is 0–0 with a 3.28 ERA (9 ER, 24.2 IP) and 3 saves with 11 hits allowed, 22 walks and 30 strikeouts in 18 relief appearances between 2020–21.

The Dominican Republic native was selected by Seattle in the Rule 5 draft (6th overall pick) from Houston on December 12, 2019. In his minor league career, he is 16–21 with a 3.74 ERA (126 ER, 303.0 IP) and 7 saves, with 222 hits allowed, 182 walks and 341 strikeouts in 99 games (40 starts).

Nittoli, 30, will make his Major League debut with his first appearance for the Mariners. He has made 11 appearances (4 starts) with Triple-A Tacoma this season, going 1–0 with a 3.50 ERA (7 ER, 18.0 IP) with 5 walks and 26 strikeouts. He signed with Seattle as a minor league free agent on Nov. 12, 2020, and received an invite to Major League Spring Training where he tossed 2.1 innings and allowed 2 runs with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts in 3 outings.

Nittoli was originally selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 25th round of the 2014 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Xavier University. Overall, he has appeared in parts of 5 minor league seasons and 2 seasons of independent ball (2017–18). He has spent time in the Mariners (2014–16 & 21), Blue Jays (2019) and Diamondbacks (2019) organizations. Overall, he is 10–13 with a 4.40 ERA (86 ER, 176 IP) with 56 walks and 185 strikeouts in 104 career minor league games (8 starts).

Godoy, 26, made his Major League debut with the Mariners on May 21 at San Diego. He is batting .162 (6x37) with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 3 RBI and 3 walks in 16 games with the Mariners this season. He was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on May 20 after batting .310 (9x29) with 6 runs scored, 2 home runs, 6 RBI and 2 walks in 7 games with the Rainiers.

Godoy originally signed as an international free agent with St. Louis on July 2, 2011. He has appeared in parts of 9 minor league seasons in the Cardinals (2012–19) and Mariners (2021) organizations, batting .275 (420x1527) with 179 runs, 72 doubles, 3 triples, 17 home runs, 202 RBI, 178 walks and 4 stolen bases in 468 career minor league games.

Dunn, 25, left last night’s game with right shoulder discomfort after completing 2.0 scoreless innings with 1 strikeout. He has made 11 starts for the Mariners this season, going 1–3 with a 3.75 ERA (21 ER, 50.1 IP) with 29 walks and 49 strikeouts.

Dunn was acquired by the Mariners from New York-NL along with Jay Bruce (of), Anthony Swarzak (rhp), Gerson Bautista (rhp) and Jarred Kelenic (of) in exchange for Robinson Canó (inf), Edwin Díaz (rhp) and cash considerations on Dec. 3, 2018. He made his Major League debut with the Mariners on Sept. 12, 2019 vs. Cincinnati. Overall, he has appeared in parts of 3 Major League seasons with the Mariners (2019-c), going 5–4 with a 3.94 ERA (45 ER, 102.2 IP) with 69 walks and 92 strikeouts in 25 career starts.

Lewis, 25, was placed on the 10-day Injured List on June 1. He had a right meniscus scope performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache on June 9.

He has appeared in 36 games with the Mariners this season, batting .246 (32x130) with 15 runs, 4 doubles, 5 home runs, 11 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 16 walks. He began the season on the 10-day Injured List with a bone bruise on his right knee after appearing in 14 Cactus League games this spring.

Lewis was named 2020 Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year following the 2020 season. Overall, he hit .262 (54x26) with 37 runs, 3 doubles, 11 home runs, 28 RBI, 34 walks, 5 stolen bases, a .364 on-base percentage and a .437 slugging percentage (.801 OPS) in 58 games during the 2020 season.

Lewis was originally selected by the Mariners in the 1st round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of Mercer University. He made his Major League debut with the Mariners on Sept. 10, 2016 vs. Cincinnati and became the first player in MLB history to hit a home run in 6 of his first 10 career games. Overall, he has appeared in parts of 3 Major League seasons with the Mariners, batting .258 (105x407) with 62 runs, 12 doubles, 22 home runs, 52 RBI, 7 stolen bases and 53 walks in 112 career games.
