SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:

· Sam Haggerty, INF/OF, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.

· J.P. Crawford, INF, placed on 7-day Injured List (concussion, retroactive to Aug. 10).

Haggerty (HAG-er-tee), 29, is batting .319 (53x166) with 37 runs, 12 doubles, 4 triples, 8 home runs, 29 RBI, 18 stolen bases and 24 walks in 42 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season. He was named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week on July 30, batting .458 (11x24) with 2 doubles, 4 homers and 9 RBI with a 1.542 OPS in 6 games from July 25–30.

The infielder/outfielder has also appeared in 24 games with Seattle this season, batting .191 (8x42) with 6 runs, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 4 stolen bases and 6 walks before being optioned to Tacoma on June 6.

Haggerty has appeared in 5 Major League seasons with the New York Mets (2019) and Mariners (2020-c), hitting .229 (82x358) with 59 runs, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 8 home runs, 36 RBI, 34 walks and is 26-for-29 in stolen base attempts in 166 games. He was originally selected by Cleveland in the 24th round of the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of the University of New Mexico.

Crawford, 28, left Wednesday night’s game after he was involved in an infield collision with Eugenio Suárez fielding a ground ball in the 4th inning.

In 107 games with the Mariners this season, Crawford is batting .266 (102x384) with 63 runs, 26 doubles, 10 home runs, 38 RBI and 68 walks, getting on base at a .379 clip, slugging .411 with a .790 OPS. Crawford ranks 2nd in the American League in walks (68) and 3rd in on-base percentage (.379) this season.

Crawford has appeared in 7 Major League seasons with Philadelphia (2017–18) and Seattle (2019-c), batting .251 (567x2257) with 125 doubles, 13 triples, 37 home runs, 222 RBI, 21 stolen bases and 289 walks, getting on base at a .341 clip, slugging .367 with a .708 OPS in 630 career games. The shortstop was acquired along with INF Carlos Santana from Philadelphia in exchange for RHP Juan Nicasio, LHP James Pazos and INF Jean Segura on Dec. 3, 2018. Crawford was originally selected by the Phillies in the 1st round (16th overall) of the 2013 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Lakewood High School (CA).
