Mariners Recall Cal Raleigh from Triple-A Tacoma
Tom Murphy placed on 10-day Injured List

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
· Cal Raleigh, C, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.
· Tom Murphy, C, placed on 10-day Injured List (dislocated left shoulder).
Raleigh, 25, was optioned to Tacoma on April 28. In 7 games with the Rainiers this season, he is batting .286 (8x28) with 4 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 home run, 4 RBI and 2 walks. He has appeared in 9 games with Seattle this season, starting 8 at catcher. He homered on April 14 at Chicago-AL.
Raleigh made his Major League debut with Seattle on July 11, 2021. In 56 career Major League games with Seattle (2021-c), he is batting .166 (27x163) with 7 runs, 12 doubles, 3 home runs, 14 RBI and 11 walks. The 6-foot-3 backstop was selected by the Mariners in the 3rd round of the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Florida State University.
Murphy, 31, left last night’s game in the 5th inning. He is batting .303 (10x33) with 9 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 home run, 1 RBI and 8 walks, getting on-base at a .439 clip, slugging .455 with an .894 OPS in 14 games with Seattle this season. His .439 on-base percentage ranks 1st among catchers (min. 40 PA).
Murphy has appeared in 267 games across 7 Major League seasons with Colorado (2015–18) and Seattle (2019, ’21–22), batting .235 (180x766) with 95 runs, 33 doubles, 2 triples, 40 home runs, 109 RBI and 80 walks. The 6-foot-1 backstop was selected by Colorado in the 3rd round of the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Buffalo (NY). He was claimed off waivers by San Francisco on March 25, 2019 and traded to the Mariners the same day, in exchange for minor leaguer Jesus Ozoria (rhp).
