MARYVALE, Ariz. — The Mariners offense rolled in their 7–5 win over the Brewers today at American Family Fields of Phoenix. Julio Rodríguez (2x3, 2 R, 2B, HR, 3 RBI), Mitch Garver (3x3, 2 2B, 2 RBI), J.P. Crawford (2x4, 2 R, 2B, RBI) and Dominic Canzone (2x3, 2B) powered a Mariners offense that collected 11 total hits (8 for extra bases).

The Mariners put up 1 run in the 1st inning after Crawford and Garver each doubled. Seattle added 4 more in the 2nd after Zavala scored on a Crawford infield single and Rodríguez blasted his first spring homer out to the berm in left field.

The Brewers climbed back into the game with 3 runs in the 5th and 2 in the 7th, but the Mariners were able to keep them at bay and lock down their 4th Cactus League win.

Mariners starter Luis Castillo was dominant in his 3rd outing of the spring, scattering 2 hits over 4.0 scoreless innings while striking out 4. Andrés Muñoz retired all 3 batters he faced, striking out 1. Reid VanScoter continued his impressive spring, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings, striking out 3 to collect his 2nd save of the spring.

The Mariners continue Cactus League play tomorrow with a 1:10 pm PT first pitch when they host the San Francisco Giants at Peoria Stadium. Right-hander George Kirby is scheduled to make his second start of the spring for Seattle, with the Giants expected to counter with right-hander Tommy Romero.
