SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Director of Player Development Andy McKay announced today the club has invited 40 players to the Seattle Mariners Player Development Fall League.

The Mariners will report to the Peoria Sports Complex on Thursday, October 1 to begin a 24-game Fall League schedule against the Kansas City Royals, the San Diego Padres and the Texas Rangers. The 6-week schedule, which will run through Sunday, November 11, will consist of games on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Peoria Stadium or Surprise Stadium. Mondays and Thursdays will be camp days while Sundays will be reserved as off days.

Right-handed pitcher Emerson Hancock (1st Round), outfielder Zach DeLoach (2nd round), right-handed pitcher Connor Phillips (2nd round), infielder Kaden Polcovich (3rd round), infielder Tyler Keenan (4th round) and right-handed pitcher Taylor Dollard (5th round) were selected in the 2020 First Year Player Draft earlier this year and will be participating. Catcher Matt Scheffler was signed following the draft on July 15 as a non-drafted free agent and was also added to the roster.

In addition, 14 of MLB.com’s Mariners top 30 prospects are also listed on the roster, including Hancock (3rd), outfielder Taylor Trammell (5th), infielder Noelvi Marte (7th), catcher Cal Raleigh (8th), outfielder DeLoach (12th), Phillips (13th), right-handed pitcher Juan Then (14th), right-handed pitcher Sam Carlson (15th), infielder Joe Rizzo (22nd), right-handed pitcher Wyatt Mills (25th), left-handed pitcher Jose Corniell (27th), right-handed pitcher Tim Elliott (29th) and Polcovich (30th).

Of the 40 players that have been added to the Mariners Player Development Fall League roster, 3 were acquired via trade over the last two months: right-handed pitcher Matt Brash (from San Diego in exchange for Taylor Williams) and outfielders Alberto Rodriguez (from Toronto in exchange for Taijuan Walker) and Trammell (from San Diego in a 7-player trade).

Due to Covid-19 protocols, Seattle Mariners Player Development Fall League games and camp days will not be open to media or fans.
