#70, Ty Adcock, RHP

He made his Major League debut on June 12, 2023 vs. Miami, and did not allow a walk over his first 12 appearances, which is a franchise record to begin a career.

BONUS: Adcock was teammates with fellow Mariners right-hander George Kirby at Elon University (NC) from 2017–19.

#83, Eduard Bazardo, RHP

After he was acquired by the Mariners on Aug. 1, 2023 he had a 2.63 ERA (4 ER, 13.2 IP) with 14 strikeouts in 9 Major League appearances.

BONUS: His brother, Yorman Bazardo, who had a 10-year professional career (including parts of 4 seasons in the Majors), appeared in 31 games over 2 minor league seasons in the Mariners organization.

#67, Cody Bolton, RHP

He made his Major League debut on April 29, 2023 tossing 2.0 scoreless innings against Washington. He became just the 13th Pirates pitcher since 2000 to toss at least 2.0 scoreless innings in their Major League debut.

BONUS: Former Mariners pitcher Casey Sadler also accomplished the feat on May 2, 2014 vs. Toronto.

#47, Matt Brash, RHP

Recorded his first career save on April 30, 2023 at Toronto, becoming just the 2nd Canadian-born player in Major League history to record his first career save in Canada, joining Bill Atkinson-MON on April 16, 1977.

#8, Dom Canzone, OF

Hit a 2-out, game-tying home run in the bottom of the 9th inning on Aug. 13, 2023 vs. Baltimore.

#58, Luis Castillo, RHP

Recorded his 1,000th career strikeout in his outing on May 22, 2023 against Oakland after striking out Shea Langeliers to begin the 5th inning.

#85, Jonatan Clase, OF

Became first Minor League player since minor league stats began being tracked in 1961 to have 20+ HR and 70+ SB in the same season, after combining for 20 HR and 79 SB between High-A Everett and Double-A Arkansas in 2023.

#3, J.P. Crawford, INF

Became the second Mariners hitter to record extra-base hits on the first pitch of the game in consecutive contests (Aug. 6, 2023 at Los Angeles-AL and Aug. 8, 2023 vs. San Diego) and first since Ichiro Suzuki on Aug. 12–13, 2011 vs. Boston.

BONUS: His 6 leadoff home runs in 2023 matched the franchise record set by Julio Rodríguez in 2022.

#23, Ty France, INF

Was hit-by-pitch a club record 34 times in 2023, tied for 9th-most in MLB History. Since 1900, is 1 of 4 players to be hit 34+ times in a season, joining Ron Hunt-MON (50 HBP, 1971), Don Baylor-BOS (35 HBP, 1986) and Craig Biggio-HOU (34 HBP, 1997).

#18, Mitch Garver, C/DH

Hit .287 (56x195) with 32 runs, 6 doubles, 15 home runs and 33 RBI with a .947 OPS over his final 57 games from July 24-Oct. 1, 2023. Among AL hitters with at least 150 plate appearances during that span, he ranked 13th in OPS.

BONUS: Was teammates with Sam Haggerty at the University of New Mexico.

#36, Logan Gilbert, RHP

Tossed his first career complete game shutout on July 4, 2023 against San Francisco. He pitched 9.0 scoreless innings and allowed 5 hits with 7 strikeouts on 105 pitches, 73 strikes.

#0, Sam Haggerty, INF/OF

Since he joined the Mariners in 2020, is batting .274 (48x175) with a .844 OPS against left-handed pitching.

#62, Emerson Hancock, RHP

Made Major League debut on Aug. 8, 2023 vs. San Diego, allowing just 1 run over 5.0 innings.

#17, Mitch Haniger, OF

His 51 home runs at T-Mobile Park are the 10th-most in the ballpark’s history. Haniger (107 HR) is also ranked T-11th on the Mariners All-Time home run list (also: Robinson Canó), trailing Jim Presley (115 HR) for 10th.

#77, Blake Hunt, C

Went 3-for-4 with 3 home runs and 6 RBI on June 18, 2023 vs. Charlotte for Triple-A Durham in only his 6th-career Triple-A game.

#68, George Kirby, RHP

Led all qualified pitchers in the Majors in 2023 with a 9.05 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 2023, 4th-best SO/BB ratio in a single season in American League history among qualified starting pitchers.

BONUS: Was named to his first career All-Star Team and became the 4th Mariners pitcher to appear in an All-Star Game in Seattle, joining Freddy Garcia, Jeff Nelson and Kazuhiro Sasaki (2001).

#37, Jackson Kowar, RHP

Earned first career Major League win on Sept. 18, 2023 vs. Chicago-AL while with the Kansas City Royals.

#63, Mauricio Llovera, RHP

Held right-handed batters to a .206 batting average in 2023, allowing only 1 home run and 23 strikeouts.

#2, Cade Marlowe, OF

Hit go-ahead, 9th-inning grand slam on Aug. 3, 2023 at Los Angeles-AL, becoming the first Mariners player with a go-ahead grand slam in the 9th-inning or later with his team trailing since Richie Sexson on Sept. 19, 2005 at Toronto.

#50, Bryce Miller, RHP

Made his Major League debut on May 2, 2023 at Oakland and became just the 3rd pitcher in MLB history to strike out 10 batters without issuing a walk in their Major League debut, joining RHP Johnny Cueto-CIN (April 3, 2008) and Stephen Strasburg-WSN (June 8, 2010). Also became the 30th pitcher in MLB history to strikeout 10+ in their ML debut. He also set a franchise record for most strikeouts in a debut moving ahead of Enrique Romo, who struck out 9 on April 7, 1977.

#25, Dylan Moore, INF/OF

Hit .368 with 7 runs, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs and 11 RBI with a 1.310 OPS in 15 G from July 14–Aug. 12, 2023, leading the Majors in OPS during that span.

#75, Andrés Muñoz, RHP

Named American League Reliever of the Month for August, 2023 after leading the AL with 9 saves during the month and posting a 1.93 ERA (3 ER, 14.0 IP) with 7 walks and 20 strikeouts in 14 August appearances….Muñoz was 2nd Mariners pitcher to win AL Reliever of the Month since the award was first given out in 2017, joining Edwin Díaz, who won the award 5 times with Seattle.

#7, Jorge Polanco, INF

Ranks 10th among primary second basemen in the Majors and 5th in the American League with 14.6 fWAR since 2017.

BONUS: Appointed Co-Manager by Twins Manager Rocco Baldelli, along with Kyle Farmer for Sept. 30 at Colorado…Twins went on to win 14–6.

#29, Cal Raleigh, C

Named a finalist for both the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards in 2023, while becoming the first catcher in 30 years to lead the Majors in both home runs and catcher caught stealings. The last catcher to lead the big leagues in home runs as a catcher and catcher caught stealings in the same season was Hall of Famer Mike Piazza-LAD in 1993.

#20, Luke Raley, OF

Ranked T-13th among American League outfielders with 2.6 fWAR in 2023.

BONUS: Hit a home run and pitched in the same game on April 27 at Chicago-AL, making his first career pitching appearance where he tossed 1.0 IP with 3 hits and 2 ER.

#44, Julio Rodríguez, OF

Joined the illustrious 30+ home run, 30+ stolen base club with his 30th HR on Sept. 11, 2023 vs. Los Angeles-AL. Became the 44th member of the 30/30 club and the 4th age 22-or-younger, joining Alex Rodriguez-SEA (1998), Mike Trout-LAA (2012) and Ronald Acuña Jr.-ATL (2019)…2nd Mariners player to do it after A-Rod in 1998.

BONUS: Named to 2023 American League All-Star team at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. He also made All-Star team as a rookie in 2022, becoming 13th player in franchise history with multiple All-Star appearances with the Mariners. Also became only player to win a Silver Slugger Award in each of first 2 MLB seasons since the award was first given out in 1980.

#4, Josh Rojas, INF

Slashed .272/.321/400 with 4 doubles and 4 home runs in 46 games with Seattle in 2023. Hit .350 (7x20) with 1 double, 1 home runs and 2 RBI over his final 7 games of the 2023 season from Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

#48, Gregory Santos, RHP

Last season ranked in the 89th percentile of pitchers in xERA (3.16), 98th percentile in average fastball velocity (98.8 MPH), 91st percentile in chase percentage (33.5%) and 100th percentile in barrel percentage (1.5%).

BONUS: Is projected to be the 8th-best reliever in the Majors in fWAR according to ZiPS.

#60, Tayler Saucedo, LHP

Earned first-career win on May 6, 2023 vs. Houston and his first-career save on Aug. 15, 2023 at Kansas City.

#27, Canaan Smith-Njigba, OF

Hit .280 (109x389) with 57 runs, 28 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 74 RBI and 21 stolen bases, getting on base at a .366 clip and slugging .473 (.839 OPS) in 105 games with Triple-A Indianapolis in 2023. Named International League Player of the Month for September after batting .417 (30x72) with 10 runs 9 doubles, 2 home runs and a 1.100 OPS in 19 September games.

BONUS: Is the brother of current Seattle Seahawks wide reciever Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

#52, Collin Snider, RHP

Had a 2.70 ERA (4 ER, 13.1 IP) over 12 appearances from Aug. 25-Sept. 22, 2023.

#55, Gabe Speier, LHP

Was one of 3 Major League pitchers with 10+ strikeouts-per-9-innings and 2-or-less walks-per 9 innings in 2023, joining Yimi García-TOR and Caleb Thielbar-MIN (Min. 10 IP). Speier had 10.5 SO/9 and 1.8 BB/9 in 2023.

#12, Samad Taylor, INF/OF

Ranked in the 91st percentile in sprint speed (29.1 feet-per-second) in 2023.

#46, Trent Thornton, RHP

Had a 2.08 ERA (6 ER, 26.0 IP) with 5 walks and 21 strikeouts after joining the Mariners on July 26, 2023.

#5, Taylor Trammell, OF

In his first at bat of the 2023 season on April 30 he hit a grand slam to right field in the 1st inning for his first career grand slam…was reinstated from the Injured List earlier that day and started the game against Toronto.

#16, Luis Urías, INF

Played in 2023 World Baseball Classic with Team Mexico…hit .278 (5x18) with 2 runs, 1 HR, 4 RBI and a .825 OPS in 6 games.

BONUS: Was born on June 3, 1997, the same day (3 years apart) as his older brother Ramón Urías, who is an infielder with the Baltimore Orioles.

#54, Carlos Vargas, RHP

Made his Major League debut on March 30, 2023 at Los Angeles-NL.

#30, Austin Voth, RHP

Was born in Redmond, WA and attended the University of Washington. He will become the 30th Washington-born player to appear in a game with the Mariners when he first appears in a game.

#22 Bryan Woo, RHP

His 93 strikeouts were 5th-most in Mariners history in a pitcher’s first 18 career starts, trailing only Michael Pineda (113), Félix Hernández (112), George Kirby (102) and Logan Gilbert (97).

#33 Seby Zavala, C

Hit each of his first 3 career home runs in the same game on July 31, 2021 vs. Cleveland, going 4-for-4 with 6 RBI in the game.
