Tickets for tonight’s first home start by pitching ace Felix Hernandez are selling at a pace about five times faster than for a typical Friday night game in April.
At this rate, attendance for the game will likely be over 40,000. The specially priced $25 Main Level seats are expected to sell out by late this afternoon. There are still specially priced $12 View Level seats available, as well as full-price tickets in other locations.
For those of you planning on walk-up tickets, here’s some advice. Get here early because there could be long lines at the ticket windows. Even better is to get your tickets before you arrive via mariners.com/felix for the specially priced Supreme Court tickets, and mariners.com/tickets for regular priced seats. Fans should use the print at home or mobile ticket option for the fastest experience once at the ballpark. But if you do have to buy your ticket in person when you arrive, you have the option of using the self-serve ticket kiosks located around the ballpark.
The first “Supreme Court” was held on August 21, 2012, to celebrate Felix’s perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The “Supreme Court” now marks the first Safeco Field start by Hernandez each season.
The Supreme Court grew out of the “King’s Court,” specially designated sections in left field where yellow-t-shirted fans cheer on Felix by waving K cards and chanting for strike outs. The King’s Court started in 2011.
