With Felix Hernandez scheduled to be the starting pitcher for Mariners Opening Day on April 6th, fans can register for a drawing for the chance to buy tickets in the King’s Court.
There are a limited number of seats available in the special seating section down the left field line. In order to be entered into the drawing, fans have to register at mariners.com/felix.
On Friday, March 27, names of those who registered will be drawn at random. Those selected will receive an email on Monday, March 30, with details on how to buy Opening Day King’s Court tickets. The price for each ticket is $55, including a King’s Court T-shirt and K Cloth.
When Felix Hernandez takes the mound at Safeco Field for his September 13 start against the Oakland Athletics, Safeco Field will be blacked out for “Night Court.”
Instead of the usual bright yellow T-shirts for the King’s Court special seating sections, the first 35,000 fans through the gates of the ballpark will receive a special black T-shirt to commemorate King Felix’s start.
The King’s Court cheering section started in 2011. The popularity has grown over the years and on some occasions it is extended to multiple sections including the Upper Court (the Terrace Club), the High Court (seating in the 300 Level), and the Supreme Court, when the whole ballpark is converted to the King’s Court for Felix’s first home start of the season.
September 8th King’s Court
Mariners fans get a special treat this homestand as Felix is scheduled to make two starts. In addition to the “Night Court” start on September 13, Felix is also schedule to take the mound on Monday, September 8, vs. the Houston Astros. Tickets for the September 8 King’s Court are $30 and include a ticket, a T-shirt and a “K” Card. Those tickets are on sale now at mariners.com/felix.
Tickets for the September 13 “Night Court” game, and all remaining games on the Mariners home schedule, are available at the Safeco Field Box Office and at Seattle Mariners Team Stores (4th & Stewart in downtown Seattle, Bellevue Square, Southcenter Mall & Alderwood Mall). Tickets are also available online at mariners.com/tickets, and by phone at 1-888-SEA-HITS (732-4487).

With the Toronto Blue Jays coming to town next week for one of the biggest 3-game series of the year, we wanted to update you on a new promotion that has just been added. On Monday night with Felix on the mound, the first 30,000 fans at the game will receive a yellow rally towel or as we’re calling it a “K cloth”.
In addition, we’re expecting a multi-tiered King’s Court on the Main, Terrace & View Levels. Tickets are on sale now in the Main & Terrace.

Here is your chance to help select the King’s Court T-Shirt for the upcoming 2014 season. Don’t forget to check back soon and get your tickets for the first King’s Court of 2014.
Online votes will be combined with in-person votes from Mariners FanFest. Voting ends February 12th, the date Felix (along with other pitchers and catchers) report to Spring Training in Peoria.
The fans have voted, and the winner is…Stars & Stripes.
Felix Hernandez is scheduled to start Tuesday, July 3 vs. the Baltimore Orioles, which means the King’s Court will be in session. As a tie-in to the July 4th holiday, fans were asked to choose between three patriotic designs for the King’s Court T-shirt: A red, white and blue theme, a Stars & Stripes theme, and Felix as Uncle Sam.
Over 1,200 votes were cast, and Stars & Stripes was the winner with 43%.
Tickets for the July 3rd King’s Court will go on sale next week.
If you can’t wait for July 3, the next King’s Court is schedule for June 28 vs. Boston Red Sox. Those tickets will be priced at $35 each, which gets you admission to the special seating section and the traditional yellow King’s Court T. The June 28 tickets go on sale Saturday evening.
