Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jerry Dipoto announced the following roster moves today:

Selected from AAA Tacoma (1):
Right-Handed Pitcher:       Joel Peralta

Designated for Assignment (1):
Catcher:                           Rob Brantly

Seattle has 10 days to trade, release or outright the contract of Brantly to the minors.

Re-Assigned to Minor League Camp (4):

Right-Handed Pitchers (2): Blake Parker, Donn Roach
Infielder (1):                      Efren Navarro
Outfielder (1):                   Daniel Robertson

Placed on 15-Day Disabled List (2) – retroactive to March 25:
Left-Handed Pitcher (1):    Charlie Furbush (left shoulder biceps tendinitis)
Right-Handed Pitcher (1):  Evan Scribner (strained latissimus dorsi, right shoulder)

Today’s roster moves set the Mariners Opening Day roster at 25 players, plus four players on the disabled list.

Seattle opens the 2016 season on Monday, April 4 at the Texas Rangers in Globe Life Park. Game time is 1:05 pm (PT).
