An Emmy for ROOT SPORTS’ Mariners Games

Congratulations are in order for ROOT SPORTS. Over the weekend, the Mariners television partner, won a local Emmy Award.

The category was Sporting Event/Game – Live/Unedited – Program/Special. Also nominated was ROOT’S Big Sky Football broadcasts, the Seahawks game production, and the Albert Lee Appliance Seafair Cup hydro races, produced by KIRO TV.

This is the fifth consecutive year ROOT SPORTS has won a local Emmy in the category, and the second win for Mariners baseball. (ROOT also won in 2013.). ROOT has earned two Emmy Awards for college football, and one for Portland Timbers Soccer broadcasts.
