From the Broadcast Booth

The Mariners open a big 11-game homestand–their longest of the season–tonight at 7:10 pm against the Cleveland Indians.  The four-game weekend series against the Tribe is followed by three against the New York Yankees (June 1-3) and another four-gamer against the Tampa Bay Rays (June 4-7).

Dave Sims returns to the ROOT Sports booth tonight with Mike Blowers while Aaron Goldsmith goes back to the 710 ESPN Radio booth. They switched roles during the just-completed trip.

Rick Rizzs will take a rare game off this Saturday.  His substitute on radio will be Gary Hill, the weekend host of Mariners radio pre and post-game shows.  Gary also produces a popular daily Mariners podcast.

Adding to the radio and TV coverage during the homestand will be Dan Wilson on Friday, May 29 and Thursday, June 4.  Jay Buhner will be on the air Tuesday, June 2.  Dan and Jay will appear on both radio and TV, during pre-game segments as well as the game itself.

Mariners Magazine and All-Access

Mariners Magazine airs two hours before each Sunday game on 710 ESPN and most stations on the Mariners Radio Network.  Hosted by Aaron Goldsmith, this week’s show runs from 11 am to noon.

Mariners All-Access will debut Sunday at 12 noon on ROOT Sports, and will re-air throughout the week following.

Will Rick exchange with Dave on television. Love Ricks stories.

Get rid of Aaron Goldsmith. He talks too much about nothing. Why doesn’t he shut up and let us watch the game. Also, get rid of Angie and Jen. It is a men’s game after all.

When on TV, Aaron talks to much. He needs to readjust from radio.
