Baseball is Back


The Mariners are set to open Spring Training, the 39th in club history, tomorrow when Pitchers and Catchers officially report to the spring training facility in Peoria, Arizona. A lot of players are already in Arizona working out, but tomorrow the pitchers and catchers will run through their annual physicals and set up their lockers. Be sure to check the blog regularly for spring training updates.

On Saturday morning around 9:30 am (Arizona time), the players will officially say goodbye to the offseason and start preparing for the 2015 season. Here are some upcoming important dates to prepare you for spring training. And don’t forget that 16 Cactus League games will be televised by ROOT Sports and almost every game will air on 710 ESPN Seattle. A full spring training schedule follows below:

Important Spring Training Dates:
Pitchers/Catchers: Physicals (2/20), First Practice (2/21)
Position Players: Physicals (2/24), First Full Squad Workout (2/25)
ESPN Sportscenter Mariners Camp: 2/27
Cactus League Opener: 3/4 vs. San Diego (1:10 pm MT/12:10 pm PT)
MLB Network 30 in 30: 3/13
