Truck Day at Safeco Field

Don't hurt your back!

The Mariner Moose helped with moving day this morning at Safeco Field.

The truck is loaded and ready to head south for the 39th edition of Mariners Spring Training. The moving truck was loaded up by members of the Mariners clubhouse, equipment and even video staff this morning and is scheduled to hit the road by noon today. The plan is for the truck to make two stops (near Medford, OR and Bakersfield, CA) before completing the 1,506-mile journey Thursday afternoon at the Peoria Sports Complex.

The truck is loaded with everything from baseball equipment to jerseys to training equipment and office supplies. After a few days of unpacking and moving back into the facility in Peoria, the action starts late next week. Pitchers and Catchers report and have their physicals on Friday, Feb. 20 and the first workout is on Saturday. Position players report on Tuesday, Feb. 24 and the first full-squad workout is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Here are some photos from this morning of the truck being packed, with a special appearance by The Mariner Moose.
