The hardest working grounds crew in Major League Baseball is taking some time over the holidays to help make the winter a little warmer for those in need.

Bob Christofferson and his team are sponsoring their annual coat drive to collect new and gently used coats to benefit the YWCA homeless and domestic violence support services and the Boys & Girls Clubs.

This is the third year the grounds crew has sponsored the collection. They’re accepting new and lightly worn coats for infants, kids, teens and adult men and women.

The coat drive ends on December 13th. If you’d like to help, bring new or gently used coats to the Third Base Entry at Safeco Field (that’s the ballpark’s main entrance, on the 1st Ave. side, across the street from the Great Floors carpet store). The reception desk is open from 8:30am-5:30pm Monday through Friday.
