Members of the Eastlake Little League, Washington State Majors Baseball & Softball Champions, were honored before the Sept. 10 game at Safeco Field.

Boys and girls teams from Eastlake Little League in Sammamish got the Big League treatment at Safeco Field on Tuesday.

Both teams were Washington State Majors Baseball and Softball Champions this year, and the boys team went to the Little League World Series, where they lost a heartbreaker semi-final game to a team from Westport, Connecticut.

The teams and their coaches were invited to the ballpark as guests of the Mariners to watch batting practice on the field before the Mariners vs. Astros game. They got to meet Nick Franklin, Raul Ibañez and Rick Rizzs (among others). They were treated to a pregame pizza party, and then team members Sophia Robinson and Dalton Chandler each threw out ceremonial first pitches just before the game started.
