Mariners Game Central – July 10 vs. Boston
The Mariners take on the Red Sox in the third game of a four-game series tonight at Safeco Field. Tonight’s lineups, game notes, links and statistics are all posted below, but here are some additional items catching you up on all things Mariners related…
- Baseball America came out with their Midseason All-Star teams for rookies at the Major League level and the minor leagues…and two Mariners made the lists. Nick Franklin was listed as the second baseman on the All-Rookie Team At The Break team. Taijuan Walker was one of the five starting pitchers on the Midseason Prospect Update: Minor League All-Star Team.
- ESPN.com’s Jim Caple penned a nice feature story on Raul Ibañez, his gluten-free diet and how the ageless wonder keeps hitting home runs.
- The Mariners lost to the Red Sox last night 11-8, despite another multi-homer game from Kendrys Morales. Morales now has 13 home runs on the season and is tied for the team RBI lead with Raul Ibañez (51 RBI each).
- RHP Stephen Pryor threw a simulated game this afternoon prior to batting practice. Pryor, who has been on the DL since mid April, threw 25 pitches to Franklin Gutierrez, Michael Morse and Dustin Ackley.
