Mariners on Spring Airwaves

After a long, dark, rainy winter, the baseball fan’s reward is just 10 days away. The first Mariners Spring Training game is Friday, February 22 vs. the San Diego Padres (the annual charity game). First pitch is 12:05pm (PST). The game will be carried live on the Mariners flagship station, 710 ESPN, and the Mariners radio network.

We have announced that 30 of 35 Spring Training games will be on the radio, and six will be broadcast on ROOT SPORTS, our TV rightsholder.

Of the 30 radio broadcasts, 22 will be live and eight games, midweek day games during the first two weeks of Spring, will air on a delayed basis at 7pm PT. Those same eight games will be available live at no charge on www.mariners.com.

The first televised game will be Monday, March 4vs. the Colorado Rockies (12:05pm PST) start.

Aaron Goldsmith is joining the Mariners broadcast crew and will partner with Rick Rizzs on the radio. Dave Sims and Mike Blowers are on the TV side.
