R.A. Dickey wins Branch Rickey Award
Former Mariners pitcher R.A. Dickey, currently a National League Cy Young candidate with the New York Mets, has been named recipient of the 2012 Branch Rickey Award. The Award, created in 1991 by the Rotary Club of Denver, honors “individuals in baseball who contribute unselfishly to their communities and who are strong role models for young people.”
