New Additions To Mariners History Timeline

If you are lucky enough to walk on to the field at Safeco Field, you likely passed through the tunnel adjacent to the visitor’s dugout. As you pass through the tunnel you are greeted by a timeline of recent Mariners history, with artfully designed photographs of the 2001 All-Star Game, 2001 Mariners celebrating the AL West title, Ichiro’s MLB hits record in 2004 and the walk-off bunt by Carlos Guillen in the 2000 American League Division Series.

And now there are two new additions to the tunnel, a photograph of the six pitchers that combined for a no-hitter vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 8, and the celebration by Felix Hernandez following his perfect game on Aug. 15 vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.

Here is a look at the new additions to the tunnel:

I got to ask. I was (as a dedicated Mariner Fan) so overwhelmed when The Team hit the combined “No Hitter”; that I left my humble abode (I reside in Pioneer Square) the next morning to look for discarded tickets (especially from disgruntled Dodgers fans); and believe it or not I found 10 of them and framed 6 of those with the thought of-“How sweet it would be to have one of each of those pitchers autograph one ticket”. I just don’t know how to go about doing so, and would be so very happy to do this with one more ticket to be signed by Felix and another by Edgar Martinez (as any one would remember that Sir Edgar threw out the first pitch that day)! Do you think that the idea of having that sand in the tunnel would be MOJO?
