Why No TV For Today’s Game?
Today’s game vs. the Royals at 1:10 pm will not air on TV. Because this start time is within the MLB/FOX Saturday exclusive TV window, the participating teams are not permitted to televise the game locally. The game time was not changed to 7:10 pm due to the SeaFair Torchlight Parade and Run that is taking place through downtown in the evening.
The Dan Wilson and Randy Johnson Hall of Fame ceremony will air live on Mariners.com, but the telecast of the game itself will be available only on a replay basis on mlb.tv, beginning 90 minutes after the final out of the game, and only to mlb.tv subscribers.
The game will be broadcast, as usual, on 710 ESPN Seattle and the Mariners Radio Network.
Yeah, Major League Baseball wouldn’t want to be mistaken for an organization that cared more about its fans than about profit.
And the archive re-broadcast has the radio feed for the audio. Bogus.
