Mariners to Wear Special Camo Hats Today
The Mariners, along with all other Major League teams, will wear Camo style hats today in honor of the 4th of July. Major League teams also wore this cap on Memorial Day (May 28 at Texas) and will wear it September 11 as part of Major League Baseball’s fifth consecutive year of national fundraising and awareness initiatives for Welcome Back Veterans, a program which addresses the needs of returning American Veterans and their families.
For the first time ever, the design will venture away from the red, white and blue color schemes that have been a staple of the previous “Stars & Stripes” caps dating back to 2008. This year, the caps will remain in each team’s official color, but a digital camouflage appliqué will fill the logo on the front of the cap. This new look and feel is similar to modern day military uniforms.
Fans can buy one of these limited edition caps at any of the Mariners Team Stores or on Mariners.com.
