The 25-Man Roster & Minor League Rosters
The Mariners had to set their 25-man roster today, moving from the 28-roster allowed in Japan. To move from 28 players to 25, Seattle has optioned the following players over the last two days to Triple-A Tacoma:
- RHP Shawn Kelley
- OF Carlos Peguero
- LHP Charlie Furbush

And Opening Day rosters were also announced today for the Mariners four full-season minor league squads: AAA Tacoma, AA Jackson, A High Desert and A Clinton:
The four minor league affiliates open the 2012 season tomorrow: the Rainers (AAA) host Salt Lake in Tacoma, the Generals (AA) host Birmingham in Jackson, the Mavericks (A) host Lancaster in Adelanto, the LumberKings host Burlington in Clinton.
