Down on the Farm – March 27

The Mariners four affiliates went 3-1 yesterday vs. the Cincinnati Reds affiliates, and are 23-11-2 overall in spring training play. They will take on the Padres affiliates today with Clinton and High Desert playing home games on the Mariners side of the Peoria Sports Complex.

Looking ahead, minor league camp is scheduled to break April 2, with the official opening day for the four affiliates on April 5: Tacoma vs. Salt Lake, Jackson vs. Birmingham, High Desert vs. Lancaster, Clinton vs. Burlington. Official opening day rosters for the four affiliates is tentatively scheduled to be announced when camp breaks on Monday, April 2.

Scheduled starting pitchers are: RH Matt Fox (AAA-Tacoma), LH Danny Hultzen (AA-Jackson), RH George Mieses (A-High Desert), LH Cameron Hobson (A-Clinton).
