Mariners Youngsters Shine in Win Over Dbacks

For you late night blog followers, the Mariners beat the Diamondbacks 7-1 tonight in Scottsdale, in the second game of the day. The Mariners top pitching prospects were on display, and they did not disappoint. Right-hander Erasmo Ramirez fired 3.0 scoreless innings to earn the win, allowing only two hits on 28 pitches (23 strikes). Left-hander Danny Hultzen followed with 2.0 shutout innings, and right-hander Taijuan Walker threw a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. Left-hander James Paxton struck out 4 and allowed one run in 2.0 innings.
