Here is the complete box score:

8th Inning – We are flying by here in the late innings, now heading into the 8th inning (final inning) with LHP Lucas Luetge taking the mound. Luetge worked a perfect inning and RHP Scott Patterson is in to pitch the final half inning. Vinnie Catricala hit a solo home run to extend the lead to 6-3.

7th Inning – Chance Ruffin takes the mound to start the 7th. Bryan Brito led off with a single, but Ruffin retired the next three batters he faced. LHP Sean Henn takes over on the mound in the bottom of the 7th.

6th Inning – Lots of defensive changes…Luis Rodriguez at 2B, Carlos Triufel at SS, Carlos Peguero in RF, Jharmidy DeJesus at 1b and LHP Cesar Jimenez pitching. Jimenez worked a perfect inning, so we move to the bottom of the 6th. Steve Delabar now in to pitch the bottom half of the 6th. Michael Saunders continues his hot hitting with a leadoff triple down the right field line. Saunders came into score on a groundout by Johermyn Chavez.

5th Inning – Aaron Heilman comes into pitch and Jesus Sucre now catching. Nick Franklin leads off with an opposite-field double off the left field fence. Heilman got out of the jam getting a strikeout and two groundouts. Hong-Chih Kuo is now pitching the bottom of the 5th inning. Ichiro and Jesus Sucre have singled to put runners on first and third with one out.

4th Inning – Oliver Perez takes over on the mound. Casper Wells flew out to right field to open the inning and Alex Liddi just singled to right. Perez got Munenori Kawasaki to strike out looking and Mike Wilson to ground out to end the inning. Shawn Kelley takes over on the mound for the visitors. Justin Smoak leads off with a double to right field and Miguel Olivo reaches after getting hit by a pitch. Michael Saunders just cleared the bases with a 3-run home run to right field.

3rd Inning – Shawn Camp is now in to pitch for the home squad in the top of the third. After a scoreless top half of the inning, Vargas is back out for his third inning. Johermyn Chavez leads off with a double to center field. Vargas got tough again with a runner in scoring position, retiring Figgins (1-3), Ackley (4-3) and Ichiro (3u) to end his outing. He allowed one run on 4 hits while throwing 39 pitches (25 strikes).

2nd Inning – Jesus Montero just led off with a double off the left field fence. The visitors have scored three runs, including run-scoring hits by Munenori Kawasaki and Mike Wilson. The inning ended with the bases loaded and no outs due to a pitch count limit. Iwakuma threw 38 pitches/19 strikes. The home team just put their first run on the board with a run-scoring single by Vinnie Catricala to score Miguel Olivo. Catricala has hit a homer, double and single in his last three Intrasquad at-bats.

1st Inning – After a little technical difficulty connecting to the internet, we are up and running. RHP Hisashi Iwakuma had a 1-2-3 first inning throwing 17 pitches (11 strikes). Chone Figgins led off the bottom of the first with a bunt single and moved to second on a throwing error by Jason Vargas. Vargas bounced back to retire Ackley (F7), Ichiro (4-3) and Smoak (strikeout swinging) to strand Figgins in scoring position.

12:20 – Here is today’s lineup. There was a slight change from the one posted this morning. Darren Ford will bat leadoff for the visiting team instead of Franklin Gutierrez. Guti left this morning’s practice with an injury and we’ll have an update later this afternoon when one is available.

Camp Guests:

Announcer Dave Sims arrived in camp today and will team with Rick Rizzs to broadcast the first three Cactus League games on 710 ESPN Seattle…bat representatives from Trinity Bat Company and Old Hickory were in camp to show players their bat models…KJR Sports Radio added to its conglomerate down here as Ian Furness and Jason Puckett arrived just in time to host their show at the Salty Señorita.

Just realized you probably can’t use Cover It Live because there’s no steady WiFi access.

But either way, this is great!

Any chance you’d ever let fans post on this blog? I’d love to submit a favorite Mariner moment or even a spring training game as seen from a fan’s perspective.

Please can we have an update on each player?
When they’re not listed in the blog there
is no way of knowing what they did.
Is a sumary possible?

A full box score is provided at the end of each game.

Also, has anyone seen Montero play any catcher yet? Is that not an option?
