Mariners Add Spring Training Game in Tucson
The Mariners have added a spring training game, returning to the old Cactus League stomping grounds of Tucson to play the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, March 16 at 1:05 p.m. at Kino Stadium (formerly known as Tucson Electric Park). You can visit Mariners.com for the complete Spring Training schedule.
The game will be a split-squad contest, as the Mariners also play the A’s that evening at 7:05 p.m. at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
The Mariners used to make the trip South on I-10 to Tucson at least once each spring from 1977-2010 when the Cleveland Indians (until 1992 at Hi Corbett Field), Colorado Rockies (1993-2010 at Hi Corbett Field), Chicago White Sox (1998-2008 at Tucson Electric Park) and Arizona Diamondbacks (1998-2010) all trained in The Old Pueblo.
