Updated Mariners 2012 Schedule

Major League Baseball today announced the official American and National League schedule, and as a result, the latest version of the Seattle Mariners 2012 schedule is out, new and improved with start times (home and road). The Mariners also announced the radio and TV schedules:

The Mariners and Athletics and the term Opening Game will be synonymous in 2012. The two teams open MLB’s regular season with a two-game series in Tokyo, Japan. They meet again for the A’s home opener on Friday, April 6. Finally, the Mariners home opener at Safeco Field on Friday, April 13, will also be against the A’s.

This year, 160 of 162 games are scheduled to be televised. ROOT SPORTS will carry 156 games, including the two Japan Opening Series games against the Oakland A’s (March 28-29), and FOX has selected the Mariners for four network broadcasts—April 21 vs. Chicago White Sox, May 26 vs. Los Angeles Angels, June 9 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, September 1 vs. Los Angeles Angels.

The two games that are not currently scheduled to be on TV (either ROOT SPORTS or FOX) are Saturday, July 28, and Saturday, September 29, both at Oakland. These games are both scheduled to start at 1:10pm, which falls within the FOX exclusive window for MLB games.

All regular season games will be carried live on 710 ESPN Seattle, and the Mariners Radio Network.

We also have an updated Spring Training schedule, with radio and TV games noted. The Mariners flagship station, 710 ESPN Seattle, will carry 23 spring training games, including the March 24 (in the U.S.) exhibition game against the Hanshin Tigers at the Tokyo Dome.

Mariners single game tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, March 10. Season ticket packages are available now.
