Listened to Taijuan on KJR this morning – sounded like a good kid. If he’s 94-97 consistently like we’ve heard and if his curve is as good as we’ve heard it is, I can’t wait to see this guy at Safeco.

I’m wih ya Ian. If he is as good as he has been in he past, he’ll be good at Safeco. I’m looking forward to 2012. Between Montero and Smoak, the M’s should have good power. If the young pitchers do well, it could be an interesting year in the AL west.

Yeah, and Smoak had a rough year last year with the passing of his father, if he can rebound and put together a good year with montero then our power hitters should be decent, we just need Brendan Ryan, Ichiro and Ackley to get on base a lot. I think one of the coolest things about the Taijuan interview was that he’s a 19 year old saying his goal is to be on the roster THIS year – I guarantee you this kid is going to be working his butt off in the minors. I’m also very excited about Liddi, he’s a big guy with a good glove and some power potential.

Everyone seems to be forgetting about Carp and his power too.
