Hot Stove League Tonight
The Hot Stove League returns to the airwaves tonight in the Seattle area from 7-9 p.m. Fans can listen locally on the Mariners flagship station, 710 ESPN Seattle, or tune in through the internet at Mariners.com or 710sports.com.
This is the fourth Hot Stove League show this off-season, and fans can catch the previous three episodes via the Hot Stove League Archives on Mariners.com.
Tonight’s show will feature a wide variety of topics and guests. Shannon Drayer (@shannondrayer) and Rick Rizzs will host the 2-hour-long show. Here is a lists of guests scheduled to join tonight’s show:
Dan Wilson – Mariners legendary catcher who will be joining Randy Johnson as the newest members of the Mariners Hall of Fame this summer. Wilson played 12 of his 14 Major League seasons for the Mariners, from 1994-2005, and has more games behind the plate than any catcher in franchise history at 1,237.
George Sherrill – A Mariner from 2004-07, the left-handed reliever rejoined the organization this off-season signing as a free agent. Sherrill is considered one of the best lefty relief specialists in the game, holding left-handed batters to a career .180 batting average.
Forrest Snow – Mariners minor league right-handed pitcher coming off a breakthrough season and has been invited to attend the Mariners Major League spring training camp. He led the Arizona Fall League with a 1.10 ERA (2 ER, 16.1 IP) in 10 relief outings. Forrest is a native of Woodinville and attended the Lakeside School and the University of Washington.
Larry Stone (Seattle Times) – The Seattle Times national baseball writer has been following the Mariners beat since 1997. You can follow his blog, The Hot Stone League. He has been covering baseball since 1985. His all-time favorite player is Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax.
